Clearwater Beach

Midway through our Disney trip we took a day to drive to the beach. It was the first ever beach trip for two of us so we were excited. We had every intention of spending the whole day in Clearwater, but the kids had other ideas. Emmett didn't care for the beach. He didn't like that the sand stuck to him so he refused to even put his feet in the sand. He was also deathly afraid of the waves. We couldn't walk near the shore without him getting upset. We rented a beach chair and an umbrella which became Emmett's safe spot and he tolerated the beach from the confines of that blue chair. Miles seemed to enjoy it more. Initially he was asking for a napkin about every 5 seconds for the sand on his hands, but once he got over that he enjoyed building a sandcastle and jumping in the waves. It was super hot so he tired pretty quickly and we decided to just head back to Orlando after lunch. Clearwater had a very nice beach so we do plan to go back hopefully on a not so hot day.
